To help take on social inequalities and promote inclusive growth, we at Danone have partnered with the OECD to found the ‘Business for Inclusive Growth’ (B4IG) coalition, that brings together more than 40 companies, organisations, and philanthropic organisations too.
Each member has promised to advance human rights and promote inclusion in their workplaces and supply chains. B4IG members have since invested $1.4 billion in more than 70 inclusive growth projects, which will benefit over 120 million people.
Our partnership has rapidly expanded; concretising plans, identifying ‘incubator’ projects to reform economic policies, and launching an inclusive growth financing forum.
Protecting Biodiversity
Staying true to our goals to protect natural resources and serve in the food revolution with our partners, we have also struck the ‘One Planet Business for Biodiversity’ (OP2B) business partnership with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.
Launched by Danone’s global CEO, Emmanuel Faber at the UN General Assembly in September 2019, OP2B brings 19 leading companies together in a collective effort to promote biodiversity - by scaling up regenerative farming practices, diversifying crop production, eliminating deforestation and conserving ecosystems. It vows to report on its progress and positive impact with complete transparency.
